Great guest speaker (Irene Hinke-Sacilotto) for last night's Digital Photography Club of Annapolis meeting. Covered a lot of aspects of Wildlife Photography. Didn't walk away with a whole lot, except that I need to get more expensive glass, if to be really serious about it.

3/10/2013: My buddy Jay and I decided to go the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Baltimore today.... What an experience. We somehow managed to secure a great parking spot near the Basillica, then walked down to Mick O'Shea's, which Jay indicated was "Ground Zero" for the Parade. I soon saw why. It was a zoo.... and we still had 2 hours before the Parade...

So last night I framed out "Luxury By Choice" for a client, I have to say I am so pleased with the way this turned out, I will have to make one for myself. Although I rarely use 18x12 print format, for this image it is perfect. It was a metallic print, which enhanced the overall look of this even more.

The Space Shuttle Discovery takes it's final flight on-board a specially modified Boeing 747. The following images were taken at the National Mall, Washington, DC.
The experience to witness this part of aviation history I shall not soon forget.

Sometimes I consider being able to go out on a quick shoot as very rewarding and a form of stress relief. After having worked all night on a somewhat complex storage migration project, I treated myself to a quick shoot on the way home. I'm sure I will return here again soon. How shallow is shallow

Taken with the Carl Zeiss 100mm f/2 lens. It is absolutely amazing to me, how you can literally tell how shallow the depth of field is. What is interesting to me, is that from left to right, the portions of this image that are clearly in focus, starts traveling upward on the right of the image. (brim of hat). This lens will be great for portaraitur...

I just received an email from the Whalehead Staff, they would like for me to shoot the INSIDE of this building, which is filled with period furniture and architectural detail. This place is somewhat "sacred", photography of the inside is not allowed. I am humbled to be granted this opportunity and can't wait to get down there to setup the shoot....
