Last night's race was just AWESOME! Perfect weather, good wind, the new Jib and newly luffed Main appear to be doing the trick. Craig and Dottie paid us a quick visit on their Center Console and wished us well. We all sure miss racing against Monkey Dust. Despite my screw-up on the Start Timer (off by one minute) , our start has to go into Xiberger's record books as one of the best, some of us were listening to the radio to see if we were over early. We sailed fast, tacking when we needed to due to unacceptable living conditions. Sadly the port stanchion punctured a small hole into the new Jib. We prepped the Spinnaker and hoisted as soon as we rounded our first mark. Once we re-hoisted it properly, we were making 9 knots, with Jules once even indicating 10 knots. We raced through the mooring field and crossed the line in first place! Well done, what a great race. Once the boat was tucked away, we headed to EYC for dinner and to celebrate Bill's birthday. Fun, Fun, Fun!
